Project Book-Give Block Party take 2

What a day! So we decided to throw a block party in the neighborhood of one of our local after school program centers, Nehemiah Center. We started by feeding over 100 staff and campers lunch and allowing them to go through the book-mobile- then we opened up to community and partied the day away! We spent hours outside feeding, reading and giving things away! Nehemiah Center brought in 3 different rappers and radio dj's for some live entertainment and it was so much fun! We handed out over 500 books, balloons, waterpark tickets, cd's, popsicles, and even kid workout sessions! The police chief and many other city officials came out to say hello and hangout with our community! We are on our way to getting rid of the negativity one small act of kindness at a time!
